The Pentium Timeline Project 2009-04-09 15:53
|
I have now released the first version of the Intel Timeline Project where i will try to track under how long time the specific s-specs where made. Data has been gathered by me and collector John Munro (thanks John!) from various sources like collector sites, eBay and wherever a image of a Pentium can be seen. Check it out here

Validation function 2009-03-15 20:19
|
I have added a new feature to the internal validation process. I can now send a validation email for each chip that i add (or delete). This way the uploaded gets a email when the chip is added and i can send a comment about the specific chip if needed.

Slowly updating 2009-03-12 15:48
|
Other projects have been taking my time but now im slowly digging down into the upload queue. ~100 chips have been added the last days, and around 30 auctions has been added to the eBay cpu auction toplist. One auction stands out and shows that the economic crisis has not entirely killed cpu-collecting. The C4004 at $611 checks in at top 5 on the eBay cpu auction toplist.

Still alive! 2008-12-11 22:49
|
Even if it does not look like it, im alive. The updates to the sites has been very few during the last couple of months, mostly because i have been moving and therefor, lack of time. My personal collection has been in storage boxes since May but finally we have moved in to a new apartment where there hopefully will be room for it. I miss my chips! ;)
A big thanks to all uploaders. Please keep doing what you are doing! Its you as contributors, who shows that there are a need for this kind of site.

Pentium timeline 2008-07-11 00:07
|
Have been doing what you can call some research or at least organizing of data available.
I have made a time line over the timespan of the "regular" (60-233) Pentium from the first known ES to the last one. This gives an interesting view over the development.
Check it here: http://www.chipdb.org/pentium_timeline.jpg (Warning, its a big image, 7700x800 and over 700k)
If you have any sspecs to add or see anything incorrect just tell.

Unidentified chip 2008-06-22 21:52
|

Got this uploaded in the "Unknown / Unidentified category" Anyone knows what chip this is? Its marked with SFF96800K. (Follow the link by clicking the chip and use the comment function.)
Edit: This is now identified as a 6800 made by Sescosem. A second source for the Motorola 6800. Thanks to 8bits who solved the mystery!
